MAGNESIUM PREMIUM

MAGNESIUM PREMIUM combines three highly bioavailable organic forms of magnesium—chelated bisglycinate, citrate, and malate. A daily dose of three capsules provides 250 mg of elemental magnesium, which represents 66.7% of the Reference Intake, along with 100% of the Reference Intake for vitamin B6 in the coenzyme form pyridoxal-5′-phosphate.

Up to 84% of the magnesium comes from bisglycinate, which is known for its high bioavailability and gentle effect on the digestive system. The remaining 16% comes from citrate + malate—an organic source of magnesium whose bioavailability has been confirmed in human studies and assessed by the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority).

It contains no magnesium oxide or unnecessarily high doses. Just a carefully formulated combination of organic forms for effective magnesium supplementation throughout the day.

Vitamin B6, present in the coenzyme form pyridoxal-5′-phosphate, is often referred to as the “active form of B6.”

Who is MAGNESIUM PREMIUM suitable for?

Everyday stress, physical activity, heavy sweating, or an unbalanced diet can increase the body’s need for magnesium. MAGNESIUM PREMIUM is intended for adults who want to provide their bodies with a high-quality source of magnesium and support its important physiological functions.

It is particularly suitable for people who:

  • are exposed to increased mental or physical stress,
  • feel tired and exhausted,
  • exercise regularly, lead a physically demanding lifestyle, or sweat profusely,
  • do not get enough magnesium in their regular diet,
  • want to support the normal functioning of the muscles and nervous system,
  • need to boost their energy metabolism,
  • are older, at which point the body’s ability to utilize magnesium may gradually decline.

Both magnesium and vitamin B6 help:

This supplement is designed for anyone who needs to boost their cognitive performance and more easily handle everyday mental challenges. In particular:

  • to reduce exhaustion and fatigue,
  • for normal energy metabolism,
  • for the proper functioning of the nervous system,
  • for normal mental functioning.

Magnesium also contributes to electrolyte balance, normal muscle function, protein synthesis, and the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth. Vitamin B6 also contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity and the normal function of the immune system.

Facts and Myths About Magnesium

The classification of magnesium forms as “daytime, stimulating” and “evening, calming” has not been scientifically confirmed. Some forms differ in solubility and gastrointestinal tolerance, but we lack high-quality, direct studies proving that malate is stimulating and bisglycinate is sedative, or that individual salts must be taken at different times of the day.

Magnesium does not have “daytime” and “nighttime” forms. The difference between the forms lies primarily in their chemical bonding, solubility, bioavailability, and tolerability—not in any stimulating or sedative effects. MAGNESIUM PREMIUM therefore combines two organic forms in each capsule and divides the daily dose into three smaller doses for effective magnesium supplementation throughout the day.

Claim Verdict What the studies show
Bisglycinate is “evening magnesium” Partially supported One recent study showed a slight improvement in insomnia symptoms, but it did not compare bisglycinate with another salt or morning versus evening dosing
Bisglycinate induces sleep thanks to glycine Possible, but unproven Glycine on its own may promote sleep, but studies used 3 g of free glycine; the effect of glycine bound in bisglycinate has not been verified in isolation
Malt is a good choice in the morning because it provides energy Unconfirmed Malate is part of the Krebs cycle, but this does not automatically imply that oral magnesium malate has a stimulating effect
Feeling sluggish in the evening makes it harder to sleep Unconfirmed There are no relevant clinical studies demonstrating stimulation, insomnia, or impaired sleep
Citrate is the daily form Myth The time of administration is not determined by its chemical form; in practice, the potential laxative effect of higher doses is more important
Magnesium acts as a sedative No Mg can support normal nervous system regulation and sleep when deficient, but it does not have a reliable acute sleep-inducing effect
Taking it in the evening allows for better absorption Unconfirmed We do not have direct studies proving higher absorption in the evening than in the morning
Each form has a specific effect depending on the bound substance Mostly extrapolation The main physiological effect after absorption is mediated by Mg²⁺; the bound molecule primarily affects the solubility, tolerance, and bioavailability of Mg

Why MAGNESIUM PREMIUM?

A product’s premium quality isn’t determined by a single large number on the packaging. It results from a combination of a carefully designed formulation, a sensibly determined daily dose, and strictly controlled production.

MAGNESIUM PREMIUM combines:

  • three organic forms of magnesium,
  • 250 mg of magnesium in the recommended daily dose,
  • vitamin B6 in an amount equal to 100% of the reference nutritional value,
  • three ways to customize your experience,
  • BIOMIN’s development, production, and quality control in Slovakia.

MAGNESIUM PREMIUM is not a finished product purchased from an external supplier.

We develop, manufacture, encapsulate, package, and inspect the product at our own production facility in Cífer. This allows us to maintain control over the entire process—from the receipt of raw materials to the final release of each batch.

We verify the identity of the substances used, the active ingredient content, the quality of the final product, and its stability. Our goal is to ensure that the declared amount of active ingredients is maintained throughout the entire shelf life.

How should MAGNESIUM PREMIUM be taken?

Every day, you’ll get the same recommended daily intake of 250 mg of magnesium and 100% of the reference nutritional value for vitamin B6. You just decide how to spread it out.

1 + 1 + 1 (morning – lunch – evening)
Ideal for those who want to ensure a steady supply of magnesium throughout the day. Suitable for long-term stress, physical and mental strain, or frequent muscle cramps.

1 + 2 (morning – evening)
A practical choice for people who prefer a simpler dosing regimen. The higher evening dose is particularly suitable for those who want to promote evening relaxation and a good night’s sleep.

3 capsules at a time
Best suited for those who prioritize maximum convenience and want to take their entire daily dose all at once. Ideal for busy days or if you tend to forget to take your supplements regularly throughout the day.

Three options. The same ingredients. Your own pace.

There is no single way to take it that works for everyone. That’s why MAGNESIUM PREMIUM lets you tailor your regimen to your personal preferences, daily routine, and digestive tolerance.

The way the dose is divided does not change its composition or total daily amount. It only changes how easily you can incorporate it into your daily routine.

With food or on an empty stomach?

Take the capsules with plenty of water. For most people, it is best to take them with a meal or immediately after a meal, which generally reduces the risk of stomach discomfort or loose stools. If you tolerate magnesium well, you can also take the capsules between meals. If you experience nausea, a feeling of pressure in the stomach, or loose stools, we recommend taking them after a meal and dividing the daily dose into smaller portions.

Can it be taken with other minerals?

Calcium

The typical amount of calcium consumed in the diet is not a problem. Therefore, you can take MAGNESIUM PREMIUM even after a meal containing dairy products.
If you are taking a separate high-dose calcium supplement or medication, it is advisable to space its intake from magnesium by approximately 2 hours. At high concentrations in the intestine, indirect competition may occur, and their absorption may be mutually affected.

Iron

When taking a therapeutic dose of iron, we recommend waiting at least 2 hours. Iron has specific guidelines for use, so be sure to follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist, or the package insert for the specific product.

Zinc

Standard doses of zinc and magnesium can be taken together. When taking high doses of zinc, it is advisable to leave an interval of approximately 2 hours. Long-term intake of very high doses of zinc may adversely affect magnesium absorption and balance.

Important Intervals Between Medications

Magnesium can affect the absorption of certain medications in the digestive tract. If you are taking prescription medications, follow the recommended interval:
Tetracycline antibiotics (e.g., doxycycline), quinolone antibiotics (e.g., ciprofloxacin or levofloxacin), and penicillamine—take these antibiotics at least 2 hours before taking magnesium or 4–6 hours after taking it.

Oral bisphosphonates, such as alendronate—allow at least a 2-hour interval and follow the exact dosing schedule for that medication.
Medications or antacids containing additional magnesium, calcium, or aluminum—follow the instructions in the package insert; generally, an interval of approximately 2 hours is recommended.

Levothyroxine—wait at least 4 hours.

The recommended daily dose (3 capsules) contains:

• Magnesium: 250 mg (66.7% NRV)
• of which magnesium bisglycinate: 210 mg
• of which magnesium citrate-malate: 40 mg
• Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxal-5′-phosphate): 1.4 mg (100% NRV)
